
Open Envelope Studio, LLC is a landscape design/build firm with a family-friendly and comfortable work culture. Our design/admin office is based in East Austin and we have residential projects based around all around Austin, Texas. We also have a fabrication shop close to Highland ACC that supports the on-site projects. We are a family owned and operated local business and have been around since December of 2011; co-founded by Angelica and Matt Norton.

Landscape Construction Project Manager
Description: This is a full-time position for an experienced landscape construction Project Manager. The position requires a high attention to detail. Must be able to communicate in English but Spanish is a plus. Pay depending on experience, plus benefits. We generally work Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm and pay weekly. The majority of our work is within central Austin with some extending West-ward. We pride ourselves as a drama-free workplace so please only apply if you have a great attitude. (Seeking 3-5 years experience in landscape construction as a Project Manager.)
Qualifications:

Presents a professional attitude and appearance

Familiarity with the City of Austin permit process

Ability to read construction documents (blueprints)

Strong knowledge of fabrication and installation re: carpentry, welding, plants, drainage, and other relevant landscape materials
Responsibilities

Coordinates and completes projects on time, within budget, and within scope

Works closely with clients keeping them informed of project progress, supply chain availability, and budget adherence

Oversees all aspects of individual projects

Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors progress

Complies with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements
-
Schedules permit inspections

Solves for any delays, emergencies, and problems that can arise

Participates in weekly OES Design and Build Management meetings

Provides a detailed weekly update/reports of current jobs

Explains and provides support to Crew Members regarding Build blueprints, plans, and documentation

Has intimate knowledge of material schedule from drawing sets
-
Maintains accurate job code clock-ins on Tsheets
-
Collects expense receipts and turns them in weekly to Design office
-
Prepares budget and cost estimates for OES designs, along with work timetables
-
Creates and manages detailed job change order (additions) request forms
-
Collaborates with Build Operations Manager, OES Designers, Engineers, Architects, and OES Crew Members

Obtains quotes from a list of company-approved subcontractors, schedules their work, and delegates their responsibilities

Supervises and provides quality control for OES Crew Lead, Crew Members, and subcontractors

Allocates resources and schedule material deliveries
