This small yard in the Mueller Development in Austin was unusable in its prior configuration. The young family wanted a place to entertain, grill, and let their young child play.  We also provided privacy with a raised steel planter behind the board-form concrete wall to further screen nearby neighboring windows with clumping bamboo. The concrete patio was given a playful pattern with a steel angle, which provides a solid living space to pace furniture. We added seating with a cantilevered ipe hardwood bench and custom cushions with a fabric that matched their existing patio furniture. The front yard bed was reworked in a later phase, where we added new vegetation to existing beds and gravel.
